Lonsen Kiri Chemical Ind Ltd.

A joint venture company between China-based Zhejiang Lonsen and India-based Kiri Dyes and Chemicals inaugurated a new dyestuff plant on 19 July 2009 in Vadodara, the Gujarat state of India. The joint venture, called Lonsen Kiri Chemical Industries Ltd (LKCIL), is located in the Dudhwada village and manufactures reactive dyes.

KIL entered into a joint venture with well Prospering Limited, wholly owned subsidiary of Longshank group of China, in May 2008, to manufacture various dyes with an installed capacity of 50,000 MTPA. The plant is located in padra, in Vadidara District, Gujarat State, India. The joint venture has provided a unique opportunity to set up one of India’s largest reactive dye manufacturing facility. The dye intermediaries required to manufacture reactive dyes are manufactured and supplied by KIL to the joint venture thereby reducing the manufacturing cost.
